We recently helped a repeat customer on Sage Road in Homedale, Idaho install a heavy-duty water treatment and softening system to solve extremely hard well water conditions. Hard water can damage plumbing fixtures, clog valves, and shorten the lifespan of appliances.

Our plumber Michael Papp, owner of RSM Plumbing and a retired career firefighter, worked with the homeowner to design a reliable water treatment solution that would finally give them clean, usable water throughout their home.

Understanding the Hard Water Problem

This homeowner was experiencing severe hard water issues from their well supply. Hard water contains high levels of minerals such as calcium and magnesium, which can lead to scale buildup inside pipes, water heaters, faucets, and plumbing fixtures.

In many homes with untreated well water, this buildup can cause:

A bypass valve to allow for easy servicing and maintenance

After installation and setup, the homeowner was able to enjoy clean, properly treated water throughout the home.
